Has Windows 11 Actually Made Windows Worse?
Windows 11 has been around for a few years now, but I'm still not convinced that everything Microsoft has changed has actually made Windows better. We've had stricter hardware requirements, Microsoft account pressure, more online services, advertising and recommendations appearing in parts of Windows, and features being added that not everybody asked for.
At the same time, Windows 11 is generally stable, supports modern hardware well and, for most people, probably just gets on with the job.
But here's the question:
If Windows 10 had continued receiving full support, would you actually have chosen to upgrade to Windows 11?
Or did you move to Windows 11 mainly because Microsoft effectively made the decision for you?
And for anyone who's moved to Linux or macOS, did Windows 11 have anything to do with it?
Interested to see where everyone stands on this one.
