Google’s Advanced Flow will not prevent sideloading.
It’s a new security process for android that add’s extra steps and a delay when you try to install apps from unverified developers outside of the official playstore.
It does not block sideloading entirely instead, it intentionally slows the process down to protect users from phone scams and high-pressure social engineering attacks.
How Advanced Flow Works
If you try to install an app from a developer who has not verified their identity with Google, Android will require you to go through a one-time setup.
Turn on Developer Options: Enable the hidden settings menu on your device.
Anti-Coercion Check: Confirm you are not being pressured or coached by someone on a live phone call (a common tactic used by fraudsters).
Device Restart: Reboot your phone to automatically disconnect any active scam calls or remote-access sessions.
24-Hour Wait: Wait through a mandatory 24-hour security delay.
Once you complete this one-time process on your device, you can choose to enable unverified app installations for 7 days or indefinitely.
