Rip Jean-Luc Picard

R.I.P. Patrick (Captain) Stewart. A great actor I'm sad to see pass on. I can only add, I'm glad his Alzheimers took him quickly. As gez said it is a horrible disease that robs, and is difficult for all concerned, and thankfully didn't drag on for years.

This one was less publicised ...

Stewart's death comes in the same week as that of another Star Trek actor.

Walter Koenig, who played the spirited Russian crewman Pavel Chekov in the original Star Trek TV series, died aged 90.

The pair worked together on the 1994 film, Star Trek Generations.

Two great star trek legends gone this week. Both will be sorely missed. Some great memories from both of these from Checovs "can you tell me where to find nuclear wessles" to Picards "Darmok and Jalad at Tanagra". I grew up watching everything star trek and these two legends will be sorely missed. "Second star to the right, and straight on till morning".
