National Emergency alert message on mobile phone

Madness with all those fires everywhere going on and careless people with fires.
Latest was Firehouse on fire and showing 1 tender now scrapped.
Notifications can be handy if in a bad area
 
Just seen this on Instagram and was serious.

Drone footage shows several houses that were gutted after a major grass fire in Stourbridge in England.

The West Midlands Fire Service said the huge blaze forced some people to flee as it teared through homes.

Firefighters are continuing to tackle blazes in the area as the UK experiences another period of very high temperatures.
 
Was it really in Welsh for people in wales? Saw this on X. But you can’t beleive everything you see on X

Just got the same alert again, but Welsh and then English straight after :mad:

This time there was an OK button to acknowledge bring received/read.

Guess that will deactivate the alert now, otherwise I'll turn it off in the phone settings.

My Mrs was fuming as she was napping lol
I always turn it off in any phone I own.
I believe it was introduced in 2023.
 
We also got this, I feel pretty safe though as it's to expensive these days for anyone around here to have a good barby,
 
We also got it. I did not see the point on it with all the media coverage of the drought that there has been. Suppose it can not hurt to remind some of the idiots out there.
