General things in life is getting me down in general with health issues and trying to overcome things and forever either getting supplied by our Irish HSE is handy.
Hospital bed is handy to rise to aid you getting out of the bed but surprised when you raise the back up seems to be from your bum up to view tv.
Fixed handrail on one side of bed to aid you to turn over on the springy mattress.
Cousin had another spare one you push in under the mattress and coming in handy on other side to aid you to straighten up.
Other simple things like toilet seat risers to help you get up from the toilet and did work and not know as legs have lost their muscles and need a helping frame and now feeling old.
Nice when HSE get you a rollator to help you move from room to room downstairs. Bought a 3 wheeler for upstairs and a heavy duty to use outside if going shopping or going to doctor and most important thing on it is a coffee cup holder so no more dropped cups.
Already got a comfy chair wide and high arm rests but struggle to get out of it
Awaiting for the OT to drop out again as need more hand rails for showers to aid exit out.
I am awaiting on a hip operation and no idea as to when HSE have run out of money to get it done
but fully covered with medical insurance if i went to a public hospital. No idea when i might be called as waiting to get called in to get assessed but need to have a ruddy sore ulcer on leg healed first.
I do like buying silly things on amazon like a minature torch and clamp fixed on rollator to light up area at night when no lights in the house are on.
Bought 2 as adjustabe and 2 toilets.
I also needed help to get into the house with tall steps and got a ramp modified so not as steep with short fold up ramp held in place and removable if needed and guide rails
Heavy duty rollator stored on back seat of car as i can use a walking stick to get to car .
Worst thing at the moment is the ulcer on leg as at times feels like alligators eating at it and on penicillin tablets again to help get the crap out of leg 2 1/2 months of vascular compression bandages are not comfy or trying to get some sleep in the bed.
I did ask the nurse to drop over later with a baseball bat to aid me sleep.
The heat makes it worse when you cannot sleep.
