Just another question not that it's a big deal, how does the posts/points system work to gain active/vip status...

I would guess that will be down to the thinking of the forum owners and admin. I guess there are two trains of thought. 1st simply post count, get to lets say 200 posts and you get vip status. The problem with this is though that those who copy and paste posts will get there much sooner that maybe someone who answers questions and creates chat within the forum.
2nd way is that its based on merit and promotion is given to those of show knowledge and wisdom and help others on the forum. Dowside is that the vip status is held in higher regard but less people had access to that area.
It will be interesting to see how it pans out.

Clean slate here, its not what you did on DW it's what you do here.
Forum needs Tech content. Admins & Mods have input but Spud will have the last say he pays the bills.
There is no post count figure needed it will be based purely on content and tech know how in any or multiple areas. Hundreds of Joke posts don't really mean much to a Tech forum if you see where im coming from. Obviously some other areas other than tech are of interest but you wont go far wrong with Tech.
