Audacity has just released version 4.0, and this is one of the biggest updates the popular free audio editor has received in years. The biggest change is that the new version rebuilds the program’s interface on Qt. On top of that, Audacity also got a new editing model, and a bunch of new improvements.
Note: Audacity 4.0 is available now for Windows, macOS and Linux. The update is still free and open source, just like previous versions. Keep in mind, this is the separate release from the old Audacity version 3.7.9, so you'll have to install it separately, instead of updating it through the program's settings.
