Microsoft is preparing to make age verification a much bigger part of its ecosystem soon, as recent support articles and documents that were spotted by Neowin have confirmed. A new Teams Free support page now says that users in certain regions will soon need to prove their age to retain access to the service's full experience, while a separate one for Windows 11 explains how it will work.
The company quietly published the new dedicated support page for Teams Free regarding this. Microsoft says the move is necessary to comply with local laws, meaning Teams Free will no longer necessarily offer the same experience to everyone based solely on having a Microsoft account, which itself is getting the same treatment.
